| Toy Donation Relief - Angora Fire South Lake Tahoe - 2007 The South Santa Clara County Firefighter Association took 327 toys to the victims of the Angora Fire, in South Lake Tahoe. We received many toys after the deadline date during the 2006 Holiday Toy Drive. We were storing these toys waiting for the perfect opportunity to donate them to families burned out of their homes due to fire. There were over 200 homes destroyed during the Angora fire. |
| We contacted Avis rental company in Gilroy, and they graciously donated a mini van for the trip to South Lake Tahoe. We loaded the gifts and drove to South Lake Tahoe, and back in one day, on June 28th, 2007. We dropped the new toys off at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course, where collections were being stored for the Red Cross. |
